How can you determine the Latitude / Longitude for a specific address?
There are two or more ways to obtain a Lat/Long.
- The first shown below, uses Google Maps. This can be used by persons who are using screen readers.
- The second, shown below, uses Google Earth Pro. This does require sight to use.
Searching for a location, whether a street address or a location (such as the Statue of Liberty depicted above, will result in the Lat/Long being part of the URL after the search has resolved. Examine the URL and look for the "@" symbol, numbers thea follow are the latitude and longitude separated by a comma. Note, the sign of the number is critical.
This does note require vision to obtain.
